Mr Sivanandy Nagendran is a highly-experienced consultant ophthalmologist based in Kings Lynn and Norwich. He has over 30 years' experience in cataract surgery, general Ophthalmology, managing glaucoma, blepharitis and dry eye and performing,Yag laser capsulotomy after cataract surgery, minor eyelid surgery and selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) for glaucoma.

He is highly skilled in a modern cataract treatment known as phacoemulsification cataract surgery and currently performs close to 1,500 cataract procedures every year.

Mr Nagendran graduated in 1985 from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka with distinctions in medicine and surgery. During his studies, he was awarded the Rockwood Gold Medal for his outstanding performance as a medical undergraduate. In 1993, Mr Nagendran became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is also now a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology,  the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

Mr Alistair McCleary is a distinguished consultant vascular and general surgeon based in York and Harrogate. With an extensive background in vascular surgery, he specialises in treating a wide range of conditions, including varicose veins, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), deep vein thrombosis, vascular access surgery, aortic aneurysms, and inguinal hernia.

Mr McCleary qualified in medicine from the University of Oxford in 1989, followed by an MA from the University of Cambridge in 1990. After pursuing further training in Cambridge, Oxford and Leeds, he additionally completed a highly sought-after vascular fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia in 1999. Mr McCleary is also an appointed fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He has been based in York as a consultant vascular surgeon for over 20 years and there helped to establish a dedicated vascular unit, which is now one of the busiest services of its kind in the UK. Mr McCleary sees private patients at Nuffield Health York Hospital and The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate.

Throughout his esteemed career, Mr McCleary has held a number of esteemed positions, currently serving as deputy director of both the Hull, North Yorkshire, and North Lincolnshire Vascular Centre and the Hull and North Yorkshire Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme. He additionally chairs the Venous Thromboembolic Disease Committee and acts as treasurer of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland.

Alongside his clinical responsibilities, Mr McCleary regularly teaches trainee surgeons and fellow medical professionals. He has published numerous academic papers which appear in esteemed peer reviewed journals. A pioneer in adopting minimally invasive techniques in the treatment of varicose veins under local anaesthesia, Mr McCleary is regarded as a leading specialist in his field. He is a member of a number of professional bodies, including the European Vascular Society.

Dr Cackett originally qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in London in 1995, obtaining both his MBBS and an intercalated BSc in Anatomy. He then completed ophthalmology training in Glasgow and Edinburgh before going on to accomplish the prestigious medical retina fellowship at Singapore National Eye Centre, the leading eye institute for ophthalmology and vision. A fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, Dr Cackett is also a consultant ophthalmologist at The Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, where he has practised for the last 15 years and is the clinical lead for medical retina as well.

He has published more than 60 scientific peer-reviewed abstracts and papers and is, at present, an honorary clinical senior lecturer for ophthalmology at The University of Edinburgh. Mr Amarjit Anand is a highly experienced consultant spinal surgeon specialising in minimally invasive surgery, disc prolapse, spinal stenosis, sacroiliac joints, spinal injections and sciatica.

Mr Anand graduated from The Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2005. During his trauma and orthopaedic SpR training, he was also an anatomy demonstrator and lecturer at Oxford University. Shortly after, he was elected onto the British Orthopaedic Trainee Association (BOTA), and British Association of Spinal Surgeons (BASS) Executive Committee and Specialist Training Committee (STC).

As well as publishing widely on trauma and orthopaedic surgery, Mr Anand has performed over 50 conference presentations around the world. He also works as a journal reviewer for the Bone and Joint Journal (BJJ), an honorary clinical lecturer at Imperial College London and examiner for multiple FRCS(Tr&Orth) revision courses.

Mr Anand is highly-trained in modern spinal techniques and is an advocate for innovation, advancements in spinal surgery technology, custom-made implants, motion-preserving surgery and minimally invasive surgery.  Mr Anand has developed advanced specialist skills in laser discectomy, MIS SIJ fusion surgery and regenerative procedures such as prolotherapy, PRP and stem cells.
